EXHIBIT IN GREENFIELD HALL

OUR  LEGACY - HADDONFIELD’S FIRST FAMILY, THE GOVERNOR AND MRS. ALFRED E. DRISCOLL, the exhibit in Greenfield Hall which will run until the middle of June, 2008, contains memorabilia from the life of our state’s 43rd governor and his family.  Committee member, Darlene Kelly, researched and interviewed family members to bring a personal touch to the displays.   The family has also loaned many artifacts and documents for the exhibit’s duration.

The exhibit is open during regular hours of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and on the first Sunday of the month from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.  Members of the Society are admitted at no charge; the cost for non-members is $4.00.

If the hours listed are inconvenient, private arrangements may be made by calling the Society at 856-429-7375.  Tours are welcome. Please call in advance so that a tour guide may be scheduled.

AN EVENING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC WITH SYMPHONY IN C

Join us on the evening of May 28 at 7:30 in the Gardens of Greenfield Hall for a one-hour concert featuring music performed by members of Symphony in C. Historical background of the compositions and the music will be provided during the program. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and, if they choose, wine. Light refreshments and iced tea will be provided.

Once known as the Haddonfield Symphony, the orchestra is a nationally-recognized training orchestra with offices in the city of Camden. Symphony musicians are selected from prestigious universities and conservatories in the Mid-Atlantic region. Alumni of the Symphony hold positions with major orchestras throughout the world.

Members are admitted to the concert at no charge; non-members fee is $5.00. The Society thanks Bob Basmajian of IndyMac Bank for underwriting the “Evening of Classical Music.”
