Educational Programs

Children from the third, fourth and fifth grades annually visit our museum on guided tours for supplementary information to complement their study of local history. They tour Greenfield Hall from the Attic Gallery where the toy and doll collections are displayed to the Cellar to view the awesome Tool Collection. On the middle two floors which house the furniture and fine arts collections, students learn about some 18th and 19th century customs as well as a few facts about our Quaker Heritage. Their field trip includes a short outside walk as the docent explains architectural features of Greenfield Hall and the Samuel Mickle House.

The beautiful herb garden, located in front of the office, gives the docent the opportunity to explain the importance of such gardens in early days. The garden was created by the Haddonfield Garden Club in 1976, dedicated to Helen Branson, an avid gardener. Throughout the years, members of the club have maintained the garden.

Any teacher interested in bringing a class is invited to call our office at 856-429-7375 for more information. Participation is not limited to elementary grades. Borough of Haddonfield schools - free.
